
Meet Marissa
Marissa Carter is a graduate student completing her degree through Liberty University's counseling program. As a wife and mother of two small children, one medically fragile child was diagnosed with a rare disease. She understands the complexities of medical advocacy, grief, and the challenges that impact the family system. Marissa's counseling interests are grief counseling, women's issues such as infertility difficulties, pregnancy complications, postpartum issues, birth trauma, and working with medically complex families, as well as parenting children with exceptionalities.

Marissa’s goal is to cultivate a safe space where her clients are authentically received with compassion and support. She believes that healthy and united families are the biggest blessing to our children. She is deeply passionate about women seeking wholeness and healing to live victorious lives. Marissa understands the demands of motherhood and how often our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health is neglected. She believes holistic health is like a garden; it takes time and commitment to
tend and care for it to flourish and grow. Marissa’s fee per 50–60-minute session is $90.
