More About Deborah Garren, MA, LMHC
I often compare counseling to chemotherapy. I went through chemotherapy because I believed it offered hope for curing my cancer. In a similar vein, counseling offers you the hope of a new way of doing life. I believe all of us were created to connect with one another and engage life together. These relationships can make the world go round and give a reason to live. Or they can suck the life out and devastate. They can remain in neutral with no real enjoyment of the other. Or the choice may be to just live without them. I have found myself falling into all of these ruts. If you find yourself in a relational rut — with yourself or others — I’m here to offer you both a hand and guidance on the path of living well and loving well.
