Preadolescents

Our licensed counselor, David Reed, counsels older adolescents. Our interns, Brianna Garrett, Jason Owenby, Marissa Carter, and Noah Gotro, counsel adolescents and sometimes preadolescents—depending on the maturity level of the latter group. Our counselors’ training and approaches are rooted primarily in cognitive behavioral therapy. Consequently, a child who has reached the developmental stage where abstract thinking is more firmly established can better benefit from the approaches of our clinicians.
